Between your RA64 and your AE86, which do you think handles better as an overall car?

Sorry, I've been a little busy latly.

Thats a tough questions. The AE86 is alot lighter... and and turn on a dime. it also has crazy stopping power.

If i had to choose, i'd say the AE86 has better handeling only because of how light it is and its also a little smaller. But they are both pretty damn close.

Between you and me, I'm thinking swaping the ae86's engine into my celica ;)

In the Caribbean the GT came with a 4age and IRS. It was almost like the US GTS but didnt have the flares, and no side marker lights.  I used to beat AE86 easily, and when it came to the twisties, they were no competition, actually the only car I came across that passed my test was a CRX.  I have found the US market cars to be alot heavier and slower, so that was the reason for my question. My RA65 is sitting at a shop waiting on me to get some money to put her back together, might just break down and buy another if I find a good deal. Was hoping I could get some money to do the 3sgte conversion (that is my ultimate dream)

My ultimate dream for the Celica is 1992 4AGZE swap and of course, tons of other litter mods were and there.

I'm still trying to get my car situation all figured out. This sunday i met with some really good toyota guys who know basically everything about any toyota. They advised that i shouldnt swap the 4AGE into my celica because the car weighs alot. And on top of that i've got my best friend who's willing to buy my celica for $2,000. So, At this point i've decided to sell my car to him, find a 1984-1986 supra and start working on the supra.

If all goes well with Toyta Racing Team i'll continue my supra project and maybe buy another AE86 and make that my SCCA Solo car while my Supra will be more for street and everday use.

Keep in mind that my ideas change all the time. It all depend upon Toyota Racing Team and how well we end up.

Well just remember that the Supra is a dressed up Celica, so hope you wont be leaving this forum. I like your ideas, they remind me of when I was younger. Lots of ambition

I wont ever leave this forum! Supra people are different anyways  :P

I'm even thinking about picking up another Celica GT or GT-S and turn that into a drag car... But like i said, it all depends on Toyota Racing Team.

Back in the 90s Sport Compact car said that the Starion and Celica had no hope of being a race car. From then I always had it in my mind that I would like to put a 3sgte in a Celica and prove everyone wrong. So between that and owning either an ST185 or a late model Supra or a Turbo MR2. So that sounds the cheapest for me. Plus the personal satisfaction of know that I fulfilled my dream and it was built to be the car that I want, the way I want.
