IMO 17s are too much rim and too little tire for the look of these cars, stick with 15s or 16s.

That's sound deadening, you need dry ice to remove it, you break up the dry ice all over the floor board and chizzle away at the sound deadening. It runs the whole length of the cabin front to back. You can reduce weight a bit if you remove it from the car, but cabin noise will be much louder.

IIRC it's like 15-20 lbs if you get it all out.

Sigh... I can't say I endorse you getting the wiring done by someone else. If/when you have a wiring issue, who will help?

^ Agree'd, you do the wiring yourself once (which isn't really that hard) and you will always remember how. If something goes wrong, you will more than likely be able to trace back to what the problem area is, as opposed to a harness someone else built, where you wont have a clue where to start if something goes wrong, then you have to take it all back out, ship it to them, and wait another month for them to get it back to you and pray once you get it that it works lol.

BUUUUUT, if they are professionals then you will have no problems and have nothing to worry about. And, if wiring is not a particular skill that you have then farm it out to someone who does it for a living. Maybe???

I think it's worthwhile to have a company that will properly solder and heatshrink the wiring to do it as opposed to just twisting a bunch of wires together yourself. As long as they do good work, you probably won't have any wiring issues.
