Spindles for "weld-on" coilovers
« on: Jul 21, 2016, 12:24:07 am »
Hey everyone,

I'm finally getting suspension parts in, to move forward with my build.
The only downfall is that I need a set of spindles for my weld-on BC kit (MX-73 w/ s13 plates & custom non-BC rear springs).

I know that I can just cut the existing ones off, but I work on my car on the streets of Oakland (CA) and can't afford to leave her on stands while I have them welded to the tubes.
I picked up a set from a Cressida at Pick and Pull, but I still can't 100% confirm if they will work?

I only need the spindles with about 2.5" of the strut tube sticking out the top of them.
So, no Cressi hubs, steering knuckles, caliper mounts, etc... just spindles.
From what I understand, all of the different camber that comes into play across the Mx-73, Ra6x, and Ma6x, is because of where the steering knuckle interfaces with the ball joint?

That saying, will it fit up to my stock ra65 hubs, races, bearings, caliper mounts, etc?
Or should I still be trying to find a set of spindles from a donor ra65?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!
