Yea, I'm hoping to sell some. I'm working on a new one for a guy who saw the wood/metal TEQ. Only he doesn't want wood and wants the Celica Dragon instead of the TEQ, also wants the shift knob a little longer. So it's matched pistol grip length of a 1911 and using dark grey granite instead of wood.
Progress so far. Let me know if you can't see the photos.

Hmm, how much for one? Or have you gotten that far yet?

Currently $350 to make use of my time/materials and even then I have to get crafty to keep the price down.

I won't lie, I'm interested. I'm broke now though. Maybe in the spring I'll shoot a PM...

I've been itching to try making one for the Celica after seeing this thread and grabbed some Sapele wood scrap blocks.. now to find the time to do it.
What did you use for sanding, a big power wheel or belt sander.. or by hand?

Oo nice, look forward to what you make. I used all three of those, plus rotary bits and sanding bits. A miter table with the power wheel is pretty useful also.

Fancy wood working has never been my forte.. I'm in a 'don't spend any money!' mode trying to expand the garage this summer so no more fancy tools are allowed to be purchased, lol. Gonna see what I can whip up with a jigsaw and handtools. Yikes.

A lot can be done with just hand tools. Do you have files? Or rather, what kind of shape are you going to go for?

Yep! I actually have a ton of files I inherited.
Looking for a fairly simple offset sort of thing;

Ah ok, you can do that with minimal tools. I'd just use a bench belt sander and sand paper to finish by hand. A vice that can hold a bolt that threads into your shift knob makes hand sanding a lot easier.
Just realized I didn't update what I did with the stone shift knob. I'm redoing the finish since I didn't like how it turned out.
