Thanks, yea I ended finding the American Rally Association rules for 2017. That's why I surprised they allow rotary engines in general. Just bummed they don't allow 3 rotors.

The national entries count the entire weekend as a single race.  Regional entries count each day as a separate race.  So the guys in the roll, I think, finished second to last on day 2, but day 3 was a fresh start.
