I actually used to tape my local street races out of a Supra sunroof. One foot on the center console, and one foot on the dash. One of my close friends dubbed me "Skycam" and it stuck. And my birthday is march 13th. Pretty simple

Btw, haven't been on in a while but I'm back in the rotation.

For those who don't know, "A Second Opinion" is the name of my business. I do vehicle inspections, mostly mechanical damage, but also used car/pre-purchase, diminished value, etc, so people want me for "a second opinion".

Terran Firebat was too long for a screen name, so it was shortened to teranfirbt.

my birthday is march 13th. Pretty simple
You and Rydman313 share your Birthday, and both use it in your screen name.

The Swan song story was told when you first joined this forum, IIRC.

OldMage is related to his last name, and that his younger brother used "Mage", so he was the "Old" Mage.

"Zoomy" is a nickname, since her actual name is Japanese, and with us in the car business, "Zoomy" was fitting.

I know of many more stories, but that'll do for now.

I like crows and ravens.  Clever birds - they can use tools, count, and look out for each other within their groups.  The genus-species of the "common raven" is Corvus Corax.

Researchers for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority found over 200 dead crows near greater Boston recently, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu. A Bird Pathologist examined the remains of all the crows, and, to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu. The cause of death appeared to be vehicular impacts.

However, during the detailed analysis it was noted that varying colors of paints appeared on the bird's beaks and claws. By analyzing these paint residues it was determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, while only 2% were killed by an impact with a car.

MTA then hired an Ornithological Behaviorist to determine if there was a cause for the disproportionate percentages of truck kills versus car kills.

The Ornithological Behaviorist very quickly concluded the cause: when crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow in a nearby tree to warn of impending danger.

The scientific conclusion was that while all the lookout crows could say "Cah", none could say "Truck."

twotone_ra64... well, I have a GT with the RA64 chassis, and it has two tone paint from the factory! Pretty simple. I tend to mix up my usernames on all the different sites that I go on... for instance, my miata.net name is rednamiata... pretty self explanatory there, hahah. Then I use winguard96 for a lot of other things... and my emails are all kinds of different.

Hey don't mock the greatest actor to have graced the silver screen! The Beef is the man :heh: Still surprised over how overboard he went with method acting for Fury. The dude even converted to Christianity from Judaism because his character was Christian, he pulled his own tooth out... well because bad WWII dental hygiene? And never took a shower because the "tank operators in real life wouldn't have gotten to shower, so I shouldn't either." That guy is pretty nuts. Made everyone else uncomfortable on set.

The way I see it, by the time this Celica is finished I'll be an old guy, ready to move on to a LS400, or something that doesn't take wrenching. Thus, my Celica is MY SWAN SONG!!!!!!

This having been posted forever ago, and rereading it now... FUCK YOU IAN!  :heh:

Newbie here, bored going thru the lounge.
"Lone" because im an only child and never had friends. Always moved around all of socal and always stuck to my own thoughts and did things aLONE. Born in LA moved to mexicali at 15 then san diego at 18 then riverside at 21 then back to LA at 23 and now im located in sacramento at 26 exploring norcal!
"Mincer" because im into a very noisy and hated genre of grindcore/mincecore music. I used to go as punky reggae kid but i got out of punk and since i cut my 6 year old dreadlocks off (due to no job offers) i don't claim to be rasta anymore hahahaahah.
Therefore i am the loneliest mincer!
