So what do you guys listen to if anything while working?

I've been listening to this album all day along with some 60's/70's rock that my friend was streaming.

My latest thing has been Japanese 80s Future Funk/Nu Disco mixes:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWcYCAEZBU4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbWS0j2fulY

And then some old school Italo Disco:

Okay, I admit owning an 80's car has put me into a retro-inspired music dive. And now I want Turbo sunglasses.

Then there's this LOL:

Holy frijole! You and I have pretty much the exact same music tastes haha. :) I've heard all those songs + the mix you posted, and I do check out NewRetroWave from time to time. The Running In the 90's Vaporwave remix is an interesting one, I'm so used to listening to eurobeat at normal speed, so that song just feels too slow for me. :P Lone Digger is good too, Electro Swing is also such a great genre. That last song, that one was new to me.

Yes, BEM BEM BEM is a sillier one  My friend sent me that one. Plus it's a 1 hour mix so hearing all the nya's and sadoai ya's gets a little repetitive. The original song is about 2 minutes long so it's not bad despite the dubstep tune. (and yes, I do like anime haha)

Hey I'm a eurobeat fan myself! I usually throw on the initial D euro remix channel. Heard of Baby Metal? How about "Go"- by Flow? That's Japanese punk. Baby metal is my new muse. It's different enough that I can listen to an entire album.

Nice! I've got about 150 eurobeat tracks in my library, so you could say I also like it just a little...

I have heard of Baby Metal! I thought it was cool, but somehow I don't like the contrast of a little Japanese singing voice versus the lower pitch/darker guitar and background. That is what makes it interesting to listen to though. Gimme Chocolate!! is the only track I really like from them. It's a case of finding a band or group but only liking one song they've produced, and not the whole album. Go by Flow - haven't heard that one but I'll check it out!

Must be the half blood thing :heh: I also like the mountain driving footage in Running in the 90's

Baby Metal was so odd when it first came out  Now just seems like every other anime intro track.  Oh man Flow, lol I remember them because of Naruto. They used Go in their intro

Haha! I was gonna say. :D Yup, that old school touge footage. Go back a decade earlier, you'll see them drifting midday blasting reggae music.

THAT'S WHY I THOUGHT I RECOGNIZED THAT SONG, IT'S FROM NARUTO. Lol.

Oh hey, I was in the middle of that mix actually! Fav track so far is Break Point by Garth Knight.

I guess I'm the odd one. When I'm on the road or walking to service calls, if I don't have an audiobook going, I usually have Pandora playing a station created by using the seeds "Gorillaz" and "Twenty One Pilots". I don't usually listen to anything while I'm actually working, since the sounds a printer makes can really help to identify problems - even if the main issue is for something completely unrelated, I'm always listening for noisy gears, sticking solenoids, etc. I'm lazy, I'd rather fix all the problems and potential problems once and be done with it for the next few years.

That makes sense. For most of my work I don't need to hear anything and sometimes the work can become boring so having some upbeat music helps me.

Gorillaz is an awesome band, really liked Feel Good Inc.

Most of my "work time" is actually getting to the printer that needs to be fixed. It's usually like half an hour to an hour of driving, 5-15 min of walking to/through buildings to the printer, and then usually 10-15 min actually working on the printer, unless it's an older machine and I haven't done the "usual" fixes on it yet.

It was Clint Eastwood that got me hooked on Gorillaz. And Twenty One Pilots showed up one day in my "Musical Comedy" station with some of the Suicide Squad soundtrack. I think that's the first time I've ever watched a movie because of the soundtrack. Once I got listening to Twenty One Pilots, I realized the two bands were kinda similar, and threw them into a station. It gets some pretty good other bands as well - a quick look at the history shows Panic! At the Disco, RJD2, Fatboy Slim, Modest Mouse, and Cake, in reverse order. The Musical Comedy station is pretty good too when you need something to lighten the mood in your head - Bo Burnham is pretty funny and a pretty decent musician.
