1uzfe brackets. Where do I go from here???
« on: May 10, 2017, 08:33:51 pm »
So I've heard nothing back from Xcessive for the whole month. I've tried calling them twice today. No answer, goes to voicemail. They won't return my calls or emails (which I've sent many, including the Xcessive website contact feature!). They have had my brackets since February. I have two options I can see. Either male contact and tell them to ship the brackets back to me (and refund some cash) and I'll modify them myself, or wait it out and hope they will eventually get to it.

The car was supposed to be done at the end of winter. If I get brackets back now I'll be done by end of summer. If I hold out, who knows. What would you do?

I would find a way to make brackets that actually work, and get a refund from Xcessive.

I generally would advise against putting a business on blast using social media, but if they're ignoring you . . .

My thoughts exactly. It isn't even about the amount of time being taken, rather, I'm torqued from the lack of communication. I can hold out long if I'm given updates. Without any form of communication I'm left to wonder "did they close up shop and take my money and parts??"

Is it really that difficult to modify them to make them work? I'm just asking since I don't fully understand the situation. Also believe you shouldn't be in this situation to begin with and curious why you got some bunk mounts.

It's not difficult to modify the ones they sent to work. But I sent them assuming a) they would come through. B) they wouldn't take three months of my time. And C) there would be communication. Had I known this would play out I would've kept them and had them modified.

I'm surprised they just haven't sent you new ones. I thought a lot of people have used them for various swaps and such.

Guy swears to me that "they just need plating, but we will powder coat yours to get it out sooner"
