Clunking under hard breaking?
« on: Jul 14, 2017, 07:05:36 pm »
So yesterday on my way home I was on the highway off ramp and had to come to a hard stop, there was a thud, sounded like my driveline was slapping under my elbow, my guess is carrier bearing, question is how hard is it to replace, do I need a press?

Could be. If it's The driveshaft center bearing, forget it. Time to swap to a one piece drive shaft from a yota pickup. The new center bearings never work, even though the part number says it's correct!!!

Could also be a bad trans mount. Does it clunk on take off?
