RA64 will drive on
« on: Nov 29, 2017, 03:48:54 am »
Hello from California:

I recently bought a 1985 Celica GT hatch.
The 22RE had an impending head gasket problem, so I had it rebuilt top to bottom and it runs great now. I'm missing some interior components and still need a new cluster, but the car is absolutely amazing to drive. I hope to someday get it to good original condition.

If anyone is located in Southern California please let me know if there's anything car events or parts connections you know of related to this car.

(I really want to find a dash and seats )

Welcome and congrats on the recent purchase! She'll be a fun one for sure. For parts, keep an eye out here and on the "82-85 Celica" Facebook page.

As far as events in SoCal, Frank (ra65gts) let me know of something called "Oldskoolerz" Old Japanese Car Meet (OJCM). He gave me a card with info but I can't find it right now. If you were in the Bay Area, I have my BACC (Bay Area Classic Celicas) meetups every now and then. :)
