Yeah, they send those out once in a while.

I managed to get a replacement speedo cable for $2 some years ago on one of the close outs. Come to think of it, I never got around to installing it.

I picked a set of tie rod ends and ball joints and both master cylinders for dirt cheap several years ago.

Can someone clarify for me, are these done at Rockauto once in a while, or does this mean that all of this long list of items will no longer be sold by Rockauto once they sell out. Concerned if this means Rockauto is mostly getting out of the parts-for-old-celicas business.

Agree. Sometimes it's just wholesalers doing it but RockAuto has multiple wholesalers.

I actually found the parts to redo a used steering rack I have, I needed the outer tie rods and and inner boot/bellows. I paid like $25 total for two of each (yes, closeout parts.) If I were to buy them locally it'd be like $250!

Sometimes it's just to clear out old stock, either because it's been sitting on the shelf too long or because of some change in packaging. Other times it's a part that's been discontinued. It's hard to say from our end.
