Celica-GTS.com database server upgraded – HTTPS now enforced

Last week I migrated the site over to a new database server system. Similar to the web server upgrade several month back, this is a hardware side-grade and a major software upgrade. New system, and many major upgrades to the software, and many general maintenance updates. Since there are huge improvements that come with the new software, I expect that the site performance should now be further improved.

Also, the trial run of the encrypted connections went quite well, so I have made the change global. All URLs on the celica-gts.com domain now enforce HTTPS. This is a very good thing for security and privacy because all of the data being sent to and from your web browser is now encrypted.
