1985 Toyota Celica GT

Sadly, I have to sell my project because of my upcoming move to nashville, and the fact that I don't really have any more money to spend on this car, nor do I have a place to keep it while I live up there. I would love to keep it, and use it as a long running project, as there are things that I wasn't able to address it the time that Ive had it.

Instead of writing all of the craigslist ad out again, and using imgur to post pictures, I will post the link to the ad. However, if asked, I can post it all on this.

I am located in Fayetteville, Tn

1000$

Questions can be sent on here, but i will answer faster through text message.

Yeah, it's super sad that it didnt go as I wanted it to, thinking back on it, if I had done proper testing, and actually like, understood why I had no compression, then I never would have had to change the rings, and could sell this as a running car that needs work.

When I adjusted the valves, the first cylinder exhaust valve was pushed pretty far in at tdc, so thats why there was no compression. That considered the engine really only had 2 problems (3 counting the threads in one of the head bolts, I'd say it would work perfectly fine if it had a longer insert that could reach the bottom) a head gasket, and misadjusted valves.

Hindsights 20/20

Darn. Sounds like a major bummer   :upset:
Hopefully the experience will be useful down the road for you... if nothing else now you can talk a bit of engine language with the good ol boys?

Yeah, I mean it has been one hell of a learning experience. In the long run that was it's main purpose, but the extra bit would be having a fun car.

One day I'm pretty hopeful that I will return when I get the money to replace my new daily

Bump

If I can get enough people wanting things, I'll consider part out

Dash is uncracked, but slightly bubbled around the vents, interior as f pretty clean and all pieces are there. A few bits are cracked or damaged, ask for more info.
