Hey all,from billings montana just got it running the other day

Specs thus far.
282 delta cam
85lb springs
1mm over sized valves
Heavily ported intake
Ported and polished exhaust
Stock exhaust manifold for now
Cat delete
Magnaflow muffler
Weber 38 dges
All emissions and air injection removed
Water pipes to heater core removed
Recurved distributor
Msd inline electric pump
Autometer fuel pressure guage
Holley fuel pressure regulator.

So far thats it. Havnt decided if i want to do a blow through turbo setup or if i want to stay NA

Hello and welcome! Nice engine build, the lope sounds pretty sweet! I'd say drive it for a while and then see where you want to go. Maybe handle the suspension next, unless you've already got that sorted out.

Thanks! Havnt done anything to the suspension yet. Just started taking weight put of the car. Going to put a new clutch in it soon as well. Building it with my 7 year old son for some bracket drag racing.

Thanks! Im working on adapting a chevy cruize vacuum pump which will mellow the idle out but at least this way ill pull enpugh vacuum to have power brakes😂 i get about to pushes of the pedal before it goes to basically manual brakes

Right! Most people dont know what manual brakes are. Lol.one of my first builds was a 1967 mustang.no power anything! Had four wheel drums brakes.no power brakes no power steering no ac nothing 🤣

I remember the first car I drove with manual brakes, it was a 60's Maverick. The only scary part was the owner didn't tell me it didn't have powered brakes, so when I needed to for the first time it was a butt clincher.

Ohhh man, those are some thicc meats. But the tire sidewall flexing back inwards... is that advantageous in any way?

No,toyo just reccomended a 7"wide rim for the 225/50/14 for this particular tire. In most cases a 7"wheel would get a 205-215 width tire but according to toyo because of the side wall construction and compound the rubber they reccomend the 225.
