I think some big brake ducts would be the most cost effective help to the brakes. There seems to be some good tidbits of info in this website http://www.singularmotorsports.com/write-ups/tech-article-brake-cooling/

Thanks. Give me something to read today.

Brakes are always the bane of the endurance car... Pad selection has a lot to do with rotor life, a lot of race pads are very aggressive on rotor life :\

Yes. Full race pads and stock rotors are a horrible combo.

Any video from your race?

Also for brakes have you thought about using 350Z track rotors? They would fit with the 300Z calipers, just have to space them further out for the 12.76" rotors.

That could work depending on the rim diameter he runs.

Hopefully saturday night I will be able to piece together some video from my runs. Here is some other youtube videos and 1 short I edited together.

Live stream of uncle joes racing. #177 Its a celica as well with a 1uz but he is super cheaty with a R154 trans. You can see at 6:57:00 I squeezed by him.

Cerveza racing #2. Pretty sure the winner of class A

And my short

We have 15's. That would be cutting it close though. They actually make dual drilled 5 x 114.3 and 4 x 114.3 rotors for the people who swap this setup onto a 240sx. It is stated they fit on a stock 300zx as well so in theory they should fit our carl. Those will be ordered and test fitted soon.

Do let us know about the brake upgrade. :)

Haha, that tail looks so crazy from the perspective of another driver. And lol, prius passing a V8 Celica :heh:

Noob here: Why does the R154 make it a cheater?

Ah ok, nvm then about the brakes. The 350Z Track rotors just barely fit under 16" rims.

I know right!!!

Because we are cheating with our W58. A R154 goes for around about a $1000ish and the fit kit to make it work is about another grand.

Ah so super over budget. I'm still finding it crazy how expensive R154s have gotten, I remember when people thought they were trash.
