is any of the plastic cracked or broken?  If not, it is possible to disassemble to clean and adjust the switch contacts.  Have done it a couple of times with mine.  It is just copper contacts that the switch levers press on.  it is quite simply built.  No electronics at all.

Yes, it crumbled into several pieces due to 'old age' deterioration.
I saved all pieces, will try to 'super glue' it back together.   

Tho, I recently found an '85 parts car
for sale, it has an intact master switch.
