twotone's First Autocross!

Every summer, the Kettering Firebirds club hosts autocross events at the local speedway in Clio, MI. It's been a number of years since I last drove in one of these events, mostly down to not having a car with me at school. Well, I finally brought the Celica out, and had so much fun. Drove a total of 8 runs, and clocked a personal best time of 0:52.023! I'm not sure how that stacks up against my friends and classmates, but I'll find out soon. Enjoy these clips of me driving! Neat! I really should look into some auto-x with my MR2, it should do pretty well.

Yeah, that short wheelbase and quick steering should do it some good! I honestly suffered in the slower areas because of my slow ratio manual steering rack and big steering wheel. I had to do so much work just to get the car pointed where I wanted it.

These are the official times from the day. I came somewhere in the middle! Honestly I wasn't going all out, but it's been so long since I last went to an autocross it felt like my first time again.
