Testing the water thinking of selling my car.
« on: Oct 01, 2019, 07:05:46 pm »
Well, apparently I have reached this time in my life where I need to reconsider priorities.

How much do you guys think it is worth? Located in Quebec, Canada.

So here are the detail:
Engine
1UZ swap (dynoed 213whp)
All seal have been replaced
Water pump, timing belt was replaced lately
Injector have been cleaned
New starter

Cooling:
Koyo triple pass alu rad
Earl big oil cooler with AN tubing
Oil filter relocation

Drivetrain:
Rebuilt W58 (makes weird tickling noise but shifts well)
Act 6 pucks clutch with oem pressure plate
Rebuild LSD diff with solid spacer. (no whinning, lock well)

Suspension:
All Poly bushs
Koni Yellow shocks
Dobinson spring rear
Ground control front
 T3 camber plate
Custom lower control arms (extended by 20mm)
Whiteline front 27mm sway bar

Wheels
Rota RKR 17 x 8.5 front 17 x 9.5 rear
Continental DW 235/45 and 255/45 with 6/32 left

Brakes:
Jim King big brake kit with brand new disc front.

Interior
Interior was refreshed and about 7.5/10 (resprayed and few components replaces).
Seats are ok, no tears in them but some signs of wear.
Momo steering wheel
Pillar pod with Oil pressure and Coolant temp

Audio
Peerless speakers
Hivi reaserch 10 inch sub
Hifonic 5 channel amp
Alpine headunit

Body:
Has 184 000km (110k miles) never seen winter.
Paint is about 8/10. Few chips here and there, but had it waxed last year and it looked really good.
No rust except for a bubble on the sunroof and under the corner trim on the hatch
All moldings and most trims have been replaced by toyota full plastic molding.
Kaminari front air dam is cracked but in one piece
The rest of the bodykit comes with the car (not installed)
All the seals have been changed 10years ago.
Hella H4 conversion headlights.

Car is track ready and works well.
Comes with loads of spare parts and oem stuff.

For those wondering why exactly were a bit of where I stand.

I have moved to the UK, but the car stayed in Canada. I don't have a garage to work on the car here and wouldn't have time anyway (I take the train to go to work anyway). The car has been sitting for a year and a half and driving it last week (took a week holiday back home), made me realise it is stiff and clunky, loud, has no AC, unpractical and needs a bit of maintenance to keep in good shape. I also need to get rid of a lot of parts that I have been hoarding for it.

Video of the car when it was dynoed.

As always with custom cars, it's worth whatever someone will pay for it. Without knowing/adding up the cost of all the mods, I'd guess at about a $10k+ (USD) asking price, but at that price, you're probably going to be waiting a while to find the right buyer.

Thanks Ozzie

I'm not looking for this sort of money (10k + USD) I have for about 12k of parts, but it was actually appraised at 7500$ for insurance purposes. I was thinking selling at that price. It's not too bad considering I had the car for 15 years and only paid 2700$ for the car initially. I'm well under 700$ a year and actually raced the shit out of it. It isn't as nice as it used to be. I turned it from a collector item into a track beast and  this is particularly the reason why I can't enjoy it anymore except on a dry day at the racetrack.
