1983 celica gts (misbadged GT)
« on: Oct 25, 2019, 08:02:28 pm »
i have a 1983 Toyota celica. I want to sell it. ive never pursued selling it due to the fact it was one of the few to be misbadged in 1983 as a gt. I didn't realize until trying to search parts by vin and couldn't match it up with the rear suspension. it has independent rear suspension and then I noticed it had fender flares which was only the gts models and it clicked. I had a rarity, a mistake. I haven't taken good care of it since moving to the rockies being that half the year its no good and as much as I tell myself ill fix her up perfect I don't show the interest or care like I want to. but I want it to go to a home that will. shes not perfect but she is rare and in solid condition. but after letting her sit one winter I let her sit another and don't want to leave her alone for a third. I want it to go to a good home and was wondering if anybody on this forum might be seriously interested. its got the gts rims which are hard to find tires for and its got the 1983 22re before they revamped the engine design for fuel injection. which I know there are plenty of parts still made for this engine. please hit me up with serious offers and I don't expect much. just someone who actually wants it. also I am located in the western slopes of Colorado... ive tried posting pictures but it wont allow due to file size

1982-1983 cars are badged "GT" but the IRS/fender flared variants are referred to as the GT Sport. 1982 was the only year of the GT Sport that got fender flares but had a solid axle (like patwhac's) car.
