Warning light on.
« on: Nov 19, 2019, 11:27:56 am »
Hi all, I have a warning light on my dash board of a 1977 Celica ST which I don’t know what it is (picture attached). Checked the alternator and it works fine, oil pressure gauge is also ok.

It means there's a problem with a feature you don't have. Since you don't have the feature, it can't have a problem, so you can safely ignore the warning.

Seriously though, I don't know what that light means, but we do have a few first gen owners on here who might.

I'm not sure either but, check your brake and tail lights. I know some cars the dash lights go out if your tail light fuse pops so you know you have an issue with your tail lights. Perhaps toyota put a light in instead of putting it on the same circuit or something?

I didn't realize a 77 would have a warning light like that.

This should help

On page 8 and 12 you can see that light isn't used and is blank. Is it possible that someone accidentally put the bulb in the wrong spot? Can you check to make sure all the other warning lights are functional?
