ah that's a shame. Figured since many others have been successful with rotating the blocks on other engines like 3SGTEs, 2ZZGEs, or honda K-series it would be possible with the 4G63.

A good 40% of owners are using the stock 2.6, with either the TBI or switched out to MPFI, the other 60% is split 3 ways with JZ swaps, V8 swaps, and G63/G64 swaps

Ah I see. Speaking of the Devil. I saw a narrow bodied Starion on the freeway today. It's actually the first one that I've seen and made me think that in the US we only got the widebody model since I've seen plenty of those.

Nice!
You hardly see those, especially a 1983. A lot of people just forgot about them after the widebodies showed up.

Did the wide body model replace the narrow body in the US? Or did they sell the narrow body models the whole time?

In the US, we had: 1983-1985 narrowbodies, 1985.5 is a rare one: narrow with intercooler and 5 lugs, 86-89 are widebody only

I see, I wish the starion wheels I had worked out, but they didn't work for the offset I needed  I had a nice set of the largest/widest version

Starion guys go crazy for the SHP wheels lol
They're already pretty aggressive from the factory, what kind of specs did you need? :o

I ended up needing offsets similar to MKIV Supra. Not the most attractive unfortunately, but good for scrub radius.

What do these cars consider an attractive offset? For my car, a conservative offset is like -18 lol

depends if you have a Celica with fender flares or not, but overall wheels closer to zero offset look pretty nice.
