New goodies for my 22r

Got carrilo 12.5:1 compression forged pistons and lce forged hbeam rods today now off to the machine shop to have the bores punched put to 94mm 😁 and also install my lce stage 5 valves 40mmexhaust 48mm intake

What octane & cam are you planning on?
Should be pretty sweet if you can tune it right.

Ill be running c12 leaded(114)  my cam is a .473 lift 280 duration and 104 degree lobe separation. All of this is getting fed by 45mm side draft carbs

Yeah i know a motor swap would be cheaper,able to run pump gas and potentially make more power. But theres just somthing about a high strung carbd 4cyl...the sound,the smell the looks you get when someone hears your lopey 4cyl at a stoplight and asks if its got a v8 in it and then the look of being puzzled when you say nope just a 38 year old 4cylinder

Absolutely! Iam hoping i have it all done and race ready this spring,just depends on how fast the machine shop can turn around the block/head

Got the bottom end put together now i gotta semd the head out which may take a few weeks.block work was cheap but the headwork wont be  top ring is gapped at .020 with second ring gapped to .024

Got the head back,lce stage 5 valves dual valve springs chromoly retainers and hardened keepers. Also plumbed my intake for nitrous.
