Last one lasted 890 days
« on: Mar 30, 2020, 11:25:12 pm »
Ope! Looks like I tipped the scale on the last thread. To start anew! I'll post my last post from that thread here:

been spending every waking moment scouring the internet for jobs. trying to find a monday-friday job with benifits that pays 17 bucks an hour or more is damn near impossible. Id possibly work for less if health insurance cost less.

Starting to think once I can get my finances stable maybe i can go to school for something so i can make decent money. my body can't handle physical labor every day too much longer.

I'm filing for unemployment right now. No one is hiring for engineering. I'm helping my mom as much as I can, since the CDA (California Dental Association) basically said no one can see patients right now. But reaaaally not feeling being a food delivery person. I mean, if push comes to shove...

Software engineering is in high demand everywhere, I wonder what kind of associate/bachelors degrees are available at schools in your area.

Where I work we install office furniture. I work in the warehouse receiving the new product. I am the only here in the building besides the HR Lady. Today we just started back up for only one install with about 5 guys at a new building hospital/ lab. I wish shipping companies would realize that furniture is non essential. All the furniture manufacture places need to shut down too. Whats the point of shipping it out if no one is going to be installing it? Our main furniture line shut down their factory for 3 weeks. Means I wont be getting  53' trailers from them for another week or two.

Spent $570 on a new RTX 2070 Super to finally replace my old Radeon 7950 on 3/27. Amazon finally shipped it on 4/13. And then their shipping lost it. And now the "good" versions, the ones with a stock OC from reliable manufacturers, are out of stock.

So I'm leaving 4 wheel parts, that place is a joke. Advancement is next to impossible so your stuck getting paid a low wage and are expected to do everything there. They tell you you'll work till 6 but you never get out at 6 many days late there due to poor Management and scheduling. Next to impossible to work on your own vehicle there and all my tools are there. Treated like garbage in general. The parts they sell suck I will never buy or recommend any of their products. Got a new job at Ames true temper same pay better hours and more time off.

Well, I had a knock on my door yesterday again. Someone driving through to visit someone in the area saw my three Celicas and stopped to see if one was for sale.

This happens to me like 3x-4x a year now.
