The brake light in the dash that signals when the handbrake lever is pulled won't turn off.
I read on a couple other sites that the light could mean low brake fluid, or a problem with the master cylinder. I bled the brakes all the way around, and made sure there was enough fluid in the reservoir, and the light stayed on.
I also checked the wires leading to the sensor under the lever. One side gets power and the other is a ground, like it should be. I'm not sure if the switch under the lever is broken, or if it could actually be the master cylinder or something else.
Has anyone had this happen before? I need to get my car inspected soon, and I'm not sure if this will fail it. I had the same problem with my Subaru a couple years back, but that was fixed by just adjusting the tension in the cable, if I remember correctly (I think the tension in the Celica's cable is fine).
