X-mas electrical gremlin
« on: Dec 18, 2020, 07:54:37 pm »
Hello all, long time no post. A while back, my cruise control stopped working. Took it apart, rubber still in good condition, worked with straight battery power. Wasn't too worried as i figured it was a short somewhere that i'll eventually get to :heh:. Now, my 12v cigarette plug and windshield wiper sprayer, and door/courtesy lights have stopped working as well, at the same time. I believe it happened after i was using a tire inflator out of the cigarette plug. I still have wiper function, never had intermittent wiper since i bought it, just high an low (not too worried, but would be nice to fix). I'm looking for help on the  windshield sprayer, as this has become a safety issue while driving. I checked the fuses in the engine bay and driver's and passenger's kick panel, and all is well. I'm willing to pull the dash if i must, just looking for starting points before i get that far. Happy holidays

Have you checked the fusible links? They're the bits of wire that go from one spade connector to another in the engine bay fuse box.

Fuse links and check/clean ground points. That would be a good start imo.
