so ive been chasing this really rough idle gremlin since i got the car, and im beat. i did the vacuum screw adjustment, new spark and wires, and cleaned the dizzy rotor.
the idle is really choppy up until 2k rpm while driving and once at operating temp, the engine sputters at barely 500~ rpm (with what seem like misfires where the entire engine shakes hard with serious hesitation) at stops, and falls on its face when i pull away from a stop up until 2k rpm where it clears out and gets a small boost in power (my assumption is its breaking past the misfire and running clean past that)
Would my next step be to adjust the dizzy position to advance or r*tard timing, if this is the right way to do it? i plan to clean the throttle body tomorrow to see if that helps but any help is appreciated.
