'85 22RE Exhaust Manifold Fitment

Hello!

I have been doing a lot of research on manifolds, and cant seem to track down a header that should fit my '85 Celica GT-S.
I have a terrible exhaust leak, and I am interested in making a whole new exhaust with a 2.25in pipes.

From what I can tell, LCE's long headers wont fit a Celica due to the steering shaft. I hear about OBX's headers but I cant find much about them.
22RE short headers for the pickups might be a good option, but I cant find a decent one that is stainless for a decent price.

How have other's made their own exhausts? I am not keen on buying a pricey header and then having it modified.

Like you mentioned, finding a manifold that clears our steering shaft is the difficult part. Most non oem manifolds ive seen people use are either custom fabbed stuff, or older stuff like Doug Thorley or really old LCE headers back when they still made them. Following as i want a new manifold too but being in cali, i gotta deal with emissions garbage

On a slightly related note, I'm just gonna leave this here for a feller should he decide to get some cool Tri-Y's that don't come with a fancy sticker...
