would you say itd be safe to delete the PS pump if i took that route? i will for now stick with boosted steering but in the future will want to loop the lines on themselves, may even integrate a PS cooler just to keep everything happy under the hood.

 My suggestion was assuming that you'd delete the pump :) but for now a PS cooler would be a good item to add! That'll go on the low-pressure side.

Better yet, if you can attach the hi/lo pressure lines to a vented catch can of some sort, you won't have any pressure build up at all while keeping the internal seals lubricated.

This to me is better than looping.

It's quite easy on our cars since you have a separate belt for the PS pump. On my current Celica that I push around, lol the lines are not looped. At some point I plan to properly remove the inner parts that cause drag, but as it is without fluid in the rack it's so easy to turn the steering wheel.
