Well, what factors led to you thinking its a wiring issue when you looked into it? Data is helpful. :)
Celica the '84 Two-tone RA64 - Phase 2 In Progress! (159k); 1UZ-FE V8 Swap, W58 5-speed swap, Koni x Swift x T3 suspension, 6G Celica seat belts, TRD 2-way LSD, Corolla tape deck
Mia the '91 Miata - Revived Twice! (264k); BP-5A 1.8L swap, an NB in NA clothes
Lude the '95 Prelude Si - The Tweaker Queen (237k)
Lilith the '94 Legend GS - Blown HG (152k)

I agree. Harness issues aren't usually a problem on these cars. The only thing I can think of in the engine harness that would cause 2 cylinders to fail is if one of the 2 injector ground wires broke off the terminal. IIRC that terminal is bolted onto one of the bolts holding the upper and lower intake manifold halves together. It should be relatively obvious, it's a ring terminal that has 2 places for wires to connect, and IMO the most likely place to break would be at the terminal.

Knod lights can help. I hand a broken wire on my 87 supra.ithe breake was on the 3rd cylinder. Not on the cylinder that   it shares a spark with it helped me locate it to a small part of the harness. I am not sure how the 22r ecu works with the firing  but if the 2 cylinders that dont work may have something in common to help narrow it down.
