FC3S Brakes?
« on: Sep 20, 2022, 06:01:38 pm »
Hey has anyone tried doing a fc rx-7 brake conversion before? I saw that a time attack ae86 had did an fc conversion and that battle garage has a conversion kit for the fc brakes.

I want to say someone tried? But I don't remember anyone doing them. Do you have a set of FC calipers?

I used cressida hubs/rotors and 89 nissan 300z turbo calipers but, I had to grind some off the caliper bracket to center it on the rotor. I think any 2 pot brake caliper could be made to work. The nissan ones were nice though, they were the same bolt spacing as stock. Looking back on my thread I posted that a 88-95 pathfinder caliper may work. Anyway good luck.

I don’t have a set of fc calipers, however the brake rotor thickness is the same as Cressida rotors, so it should work in theory. They are half the price of z32 brakes so I might give it a try. I’ll let you guys know. And I’ll check out the pathfinder calipers too sirdan.
