I have been thinking of getting a universal muffler from Megan Racing (I have heard nothing but good things fom the Nissan crowd)  and was wondering what you guys thought about them?  I dont have my manual at my side right now, so does anyone know what size exhaust piping came with on a GT?

here is the link to Megan Racing's N1 style muffler...

Let me know what you think.

Thanks, I'll look into that more...Not exactly the look, but I guess as long as it doesn't sound like a fart can  The sentra crowd say that the Megan exhausts is a very low rumbe at idle and when at WOT gives a nice growl.  What are you other guys using?

raptor muff. by techflow or flowtech
$10 for a 2" at kragens
$20 for 2 1/4"
you should ENLARGE your exhaust...
2 1/4" minimum
larger for higher revving motors
instantly noticeable power and throttle response
more power than a header !
sounds nice
not a lot louder than stock
without cat, semi loud, a little loud for stereo at freeway speeds...
sounds like a nice italian sports car at wot and higher revs
duzn't sound ricey or lame
they make louder models too
and glasspacks
(websearch)
i hav it
i luv it
i don't expect xhaust to last forever
whether stainless or not
waste of money using high cost parts for me
but then my 22re is in a 4x truck
never know wen i might trash the underside...

Unfortunatly i dont have the cash for a full exhaust (although when i get the $$ its gonna be 2.5" ^_^). right now i just have a glasspack my dad threw on when it was my moms car... sounds pretty nice, not ricey but not really loud. you can barely hear the exhaust at cruise and it gives a nice rumble when you take off.

When I first got my celica back in '96 I didn't really have any money so I took off the muffler and put in a 20" straight pipe going into a 3" resinated monza tip (poor mans glass pack) the car sounded really bad ass. Not ricey at all. Sounded kind of like an old Alfa Romeo. Real raspy.

The 20" pipe was in place of the muffler. The tip I used was pretty long, about 14" or so. I kind of just kept cutting the straight pipe until the bottom of the 45* was flush with my bumper cover.
