I seriously doubt ASC said "hey, yeah, we can make 4248 verts, so send them all to us at once". The probably had them delivered like 50 to 100 at a time, so there are probably groups that are sequential.

That's why I've asked. I do know of someone else here in Pdx that owns one, and there are a couple more that have been for sale on and off, so I'll try to get more VINs and mfg dates.

Thanks!

I hadn't thought about trans - nice addition!

Zoomy's is an auto, and was a T372/A40D, but has been upgraded to an F312.
Mine is a manual, F312/W58.

Why is that - more rare? It ain't that big of a deal. Hell, we have two verts here at my house, as stated above, one A40D, one W58.

BTW, you said Feb '85 - is that Toyota's mfg date, or ASC, and what is the other date?

Maybe we should include (original) color.

Right on - thanks! So far, that is the oldest '85 'vert. 1_OF_4248_85GTS has the youngest.

Still need to hear from thesteve42, IIonPilgrimg for the one he disposed of if he has the info, Mazinger, and who bought tplsstoy's. Any other 'verts out there I'm forgetting?

last 6 057774   production 2/85

With the 7774 #, 2/85 is obviously the Toyota date. What is the other (ASC) date on the door tag?

Searching around the 'net the other day, I came across this article by Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car. It is not quite 100% factual, but is very good. It claims 4,498 were made, and seems unaware that there were any made that were considered '84 model year cars.
Oh, and their example has less than 10,000 original miles! :lick:
