K&N states that the filtercharger is off road use only...If you live in CA like me, then you will have to go through a visual and not just the sniffer.

Yeah, CA has some of the most strict emissions tests (i think we are switching to dynos)  We still have a lot of sick ass street cars running around.

unfortunatly most of the sick street machines around where i live are truly sick... your typical civic DX/CX with aftermarket rims, muffler, K&N, cheap body kit, and thats it.. the good ones are 3000GT VR4s, a few supra turbos... all stock.

Yeah, California's great, but in my city...its very small on the "good cars"

We have a few TT Supras, 300s, and RX-7s

Not too many VR4s on the streets, but there are always a few at Rose Imports.

Here's a pic of my K&N, you can kind of see the adaptor, not plastic like a thermos lid  :P

SummitRacing.com sales adapters either in the 3" or 4" sizes so you can use a cone type air filter while still retanning the factory mouning brackets. you have to done some trim on the adapter and some on the AFM bracket and use longer bolt, ie the bolt for the AFM must be long because they will also hold the the adapter now. If you our still following me.   Everything is still in the stock location and if you need to you can put the air box back on over the air filter if you have to ,  so it should work for all of you in Ca. :D
I had some pics a while back I'll try to find them.     When I bought mine is cost me $15 plus S+H.

I get what you're saying.  Cause when I took off my air box, I was like I'm gonna need longer bolts!

Didn't think I would have to remove the mouting plate on the AFM.
