Cool, I had 1985 Silver as 150 which was wrong!  Fixed it.

Also just scanned the 1984 and 1985 brochures and I am fixing up the charts to match the color availability that was list in them.

oh this is sweet thanks.  I'm considering painting this winter, my hood-paint-peel is nearly embarrassing and the paint on the rest of the car is starting to peel around pockmarks, my ride has certainly lost it's sweet shine.

any Seattle shop recommendations?

No, but there's some Mexicans close to me that painted a Maverick a couple of months ago, and the paint still looks wet! You don't often see a shine like that w/o a lot of rubbing. I will stop and ask them soon.

it all in the clear coat.  you take you time with the clear coat and remove orange peel. it will be the wet look on a dry day along with a mirror finish.

Here is the chart of color for the US-Spec Celica from 1982-1985.  If you see an error please post it here and I will correct the page and graphic ASAP.  You can upload a photo of your car by clicking on the graphic, then clicking on the appropriate camera icon next to your color.

If you need me to update the chart please post your model year (or production date), color code and a description or photo of your car.  For now this is for US-Spec cars only, I will add other countries in the future.

Is there a reference anywhere to interior colors?  Mainly interested in 1984.  Thanks.

Nice.

Does anyone know the toyota paint code for the silver strip that goes across the top of the headlight doors and grille on 84-85 cars?

If I wanted a hatchback, I'd get a supra.

Any auto body supply store or auto parts store that mixes paint should be able to mix it up in whatever type paint you prefer to spray.

Ancient post but I'm wondering did you ever talk to the Mexicans about how they painted the Maverick?  Thinking about painting my car but I want to do it myself with a spray gun just for the experience of it, even though it will look like crap compared to a pro shop.  Annie has the quite rare 2C5 (silver gray)haze gray/black factory paint (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Celica_GTS_1983.jpg)  and I want to use the same colors.

They sprayed it with a gun under a tarp in their yard. I didn't ask about the paint though.

I would have to have a code added to this reference. The silver/blue two tone combo is code 2N9 (the exact code on my manufacturer plate), and is a combination of 148 silver and 896 blue.

Thanks!
