The Koni S/As I have are for a Mustang too. I did the same thing, but the bushing was so shot, it's a pretty poor solution. I ordered poly bushings form some web site or other like two months ago, but they never have shown up. Anyone know where to get some?
napa has shock bushings. not poly but you should be able to just get bushings from energy or anywhere for an "L1" style mount

I replaced the rubber bushings with ES urethane when I put new shocks on the back of Zoomy's Baby.
It was a major PITA to put them in though!

did they come with the grease? makes them a hell of a lot easier to squeaze into the mount.

They didn't but I was doing the rear control (trailing/four-link whatever) at the same time, and they did. Either way, it was almost like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

Noob here... is the information at the start of this thread still hold true? Im looknig to seriously upgrade the suspension to the aggressive street  or possibly Hardcore.  I want to know how much on this has changed over time (parts and places to get them) so I am not wasting money and time.

Thanks for any help.  :)
I want to go FAST!

The parts will be the same, but the suppliers may have changed. Google is your friend.

Hi, I must buy the Tokico HP coilovers for Celica Supra? I'm planning to buy a 1983 Toyota Celica Liftback, will those go well with that car?

This topic is about the GT and ST models, or any of the Celicas with a solid rear axle (SRA). The front suspension is very close to the Celica Supra. But coil overs from honda's will work on the front of our cars. Do a quick search, I can't remember the exact years. But start a topic on the subject and we'll fill it with info for you. The Celica came both in SRA and IRS. What kind of Celica Liftback are you getting? ST, GT, GTS?

I think he's talking about this one!

I'm not sure what the "HP coilovers" are, but I use Takico Illuminas on my MR2 and have been really happy with them. It's a good company, as far as I can tell.

unless you are only using it on the track you want some "comfort" because on the streets you don't want your suspension too stiff because it'll cause wheel hop over uneven surfaces and you'll loose traction. I remember when I was younger and I had an 82 GT that I pulled around a corner and there was a bump in the road that I couldn't see and with my suspension super stiff at the time it send me spinning, luckily I wasn't going very fast so I could correct myself with steering and didn't hit a curb or anything.

I have a question guys, and I don't feel like this is necessary to create a new topic for it, so i think this is the right place..

I plan on lowering my 1982 ST. First, i need to order some custom springs. The problem is, I don't know what specs to pick.
I found the stock springs specs here: http://www.celica-gts.com/forums/index.php?topic=23973.0
Someone posted 96 for the front sping rates, another guy measured 157...So I don't know what to think

I'd like something around 7kg/mm  (400lbs/in) for the front, and 5 rear (285), with à 2.5(ish) inch drop.
-> How to calculate the free lenght to get this drop ? (considering i'd also go for shorter shocks)

Also: A french guy did the short stroke conversion on strut tubes. But, unlike this topic (http://www.celica-gts.com/forums/index.php?topic=17320.0), he welded the upper part of an MR2 strut, to fit MR2 AGX. My question is: is it mandatory ?

Be gentle, I'm totally new to car mods.  :heh:
