Try cutting one coil on the factory spring first, as that will lower it, and make it stiffer (less active coils makes a stiffer spring). If that's not enough, cut another 1/2 coil at a time until you're satisfied, and you may also be happy with the stiffness. Camaro AGX shocks bolt in and are 8x adjustable.
As for the struts, you misunderstood. Cutting the Celica strut shorter (33mm?) puts it at the proper length for the MR2 strut to bolt in. And as has been said many times, generic eBay Honduh coilover sleeves work fine, then get (7" for stock height collars), 300-350 lbs springs from Summit (their brand, $36 each). I was running 300 lb, but to me, they were too soft, so am upping to 350. skudman is running 325s, and is very happy with them and the AGXs.

I'm a bit late, but thanks for the reply  ;)

Another question: Will the stock gland nut fit the MR2 AGXs ? Or do I need the MR2 strut's gland nuts ? I'm asking this because I saw, on a french forum, that the guy who did the short stroke conversion used the MR2 gland nut. I was wondering why.

MR2 gland nuts are different thread pitch from the Celica/Supra gland nuts. The OE gland nuts have seals and stuff in them for the OE strut, to use them with the MR2 struts, you need to have someone with a lathe cut out the guts of it to make it like the MR2 gland nut.

Ok I see

Then I'll cut both the OE and MR2 strut, and weld the MR2's on top of the OE. (If that makes sense)

I think it's be easier just to gut the OE gland nut. Plus I think the OE one is aluminum, and the ones the AGXs come with are steel

I'll see when I get there  ;)

Another question. A good one:

I'm going for the coilover sleeves option. I got told to buy some generics Honda ones on eBay (like the godspeed for example), and to buy the conical upper hat from T3. And I wal also planning to buy a pair of custom springs to replace the crappy eBay ones (this way I'll be sure to have the correct stiffness)

The problem is: considering where I live (france), the shipping adds 70usd to the sleeves. So the total price would be: $254 (godspeed = $124 / T3 hat: $20 / Springs: $110)

At this point, wouldn't GroundControl sleeves be a better option ?

if it's cheaper for you then yea. Only reason why you'd buy the cheap ebay ones is because you could get the stuff for about $40.

Is anyone still posting in this? I recently got an 85 celica with irs and I wanna get new coil over but the only ones I can find are of ebay for like over 500 thanks to shipping be about half of that. I’m thinking about getting the toxico blues unless you’ve found something better?

What is your exact question? And what have you found on ebay? Are you just talking about coilover sleeves?

Ok so I basically am aiming for street performance setup cause it’s gonna be my daily driver but I wanna get it to track performance some day. It’s all stock now except I have 15x6.5” rims and basic all weather tires but falken brand. Not sure if any of that is relevant but I am wondering if there are better options performance or price wise to coilovers or this is a solid choice:
https://m.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-CELICA-RA65-SA63-1983-85-COUPE-FRONT-REAR-STANDARD-COIL-SPRINGS-/150735302072?hash=item2318862db8%3Ag%3AYWcAAOSw32lYnVL6&_trkparms=pageci%253Ac4048421-aeea-11e7-a473-74dbd180f737%257Cparentrq%253A0e261aff15f0a884c13c02b7fffcaef6%257Ciid%253A10

Also I noticed they have lowered ones but I’m afraid of going to low because of my rims being bigger so I might need to make measurements before I decide that or cutting stock size down.
About the shocks, are they monotube? The website didn’t say

You'd probably want to lower the car a smidge. Dobinson Springs list

Front
Lowered
C59-054
Standard Height
C59-056
Rear SRA
Lowered
C59-027
Standard Height
C59-029 A

Rear IRS
Lowered
C59-101
Standard Height
C59-103

If you plan to go the slightly lowered route, the cheap way to do is

Front
Civic coilover sleeves (it has been covered quite a bit, I can't remember the exact years off the top of my head. )
SW20 MR2 REAR Shock inserts (read up on associated adjustments)

Rear (you said you have an IRS)
Dobinson Springs C59-101
Focus REAR Shocks (2000-2007)

Wow, sigma, you have been a tremendous help also here’s what I found for the ground controls honda coil overs and this is what you’re talking about?
https://groundcontrolstore.com/products/coilover-conversion-kit-82-85-toyota-celica-inc-supra-front-pair

As for rear springs I’ll have to call dobinson and order right?
For the struts I have decided with KYB AGX SW20s for the MK2 (using t3 spacer) in the front and KYB AGX for the focus shocks in the rear and these should all work well I imagine, I just want an experts  approval. I can’t recall if there’s a daily driver/track performance post about spring rate for the irs on here but I’ll look through this thread again when I get spare time

I would definitely keep the rear AGX's at the softest setting, my car felt way more planted that way. Probably a similar story in the front (although I never had AGX's up there).

I noticed the front spring rate is bigger than the rear when you order custom but stock the rear is stiffer. Why is this? And does anyone have a good suggested spring rate for street performance but not gonna get old after a two hour drive?

That's mildly surprising, what are the stock spring rates?
Generally something in the ~300 lb/in front an 250 lb/in range will leave you with a reasonably comfortable ride but be stiff enough to not be boaty in the corners.
