*facepalm* I've been pushing PST for more than a year on this site, because of fitment, availability, and 20 year warranty. It don't get any better than that. ;)

i like the light idea of getting the blues and the dobinsons springs up front, but what about the back, does tokico carry rear blues and does dobinson carry rear spring for a 85gts?
does this stuff in the links apply to only gt cars or are most of the parts were talking about interchangeable?

i also would like to get a set of sway bars, whats a good brand to buy? is it like allmost everything else, you get what you pay for?

Dob used to carry rears, but I haven't seen them for sale for awhile... You can use any rear shock designed for the rear of a Ford Focus. I've got a set of KYB AGX's in mine and they're great.

Ok, so i have decided the next heavy mod's that I am going to do is the aggresive street suspension setup.  I do have an IRS but I am going to do the same thing.  Paradise racing coilovers up front (or Ground Control).  CSS spring in the rear with an inch drop to avoid negative camber.  My question is do I have to upgrade the shocks and struts to achieve these modifications?  Thanks...

i want to upgrade my suspension too.  keep me updated on how your setup goes.  and how much you spent.

i personally would upgrade shocks and struts while im at it.  i know rapidchimp has the adjustable setup that should work for us.

For the rear you can get KYB AGX rear shocks for a Ford Focus, 2002-2004. For the front you can get the *rear* struts for a second gen MR2 and put spacers in the bottom of the strut tubes (big washers work well).

It's a bad idea to not match springs with dampers...

OK, a couple questions from my Celica suspension novice self  :wall: relating to my '83 RA64......First, do the Tokico HP blue front struts come with the spindle the hub and rotor mount on? I'm looking in my trusty Haynes manual, and it shows the strut and the spindle as one unit. Second question: I'd like to use the Ground Control coilover kit  http://www.autocarparts.com/part/408/37  ......are any modifications to the Tokico struts needed to make the kit work? Thanks in advance for your advice.

The Tokico's are strut replacement inserts. Depending on if they've been done before, you'll either have to pull the old inserts out or take the original struts apart. Then you install the replacement inserts into the strut tubes and lock em in with the gland nuts.

Oh, I see....mine are the *cringe* originals (so are the rear shocks :o) .....after 24 years and 159,000 miles, I figure since I'm replacing them anyway, why not upgrade a little? Thanks for the help!
