Removing the power steering will make it harder to steer at lower speeds, but at higher speeds it will make the steering feel alittle stiffer, than how it feels now. Dont see a reason for it to make handling suffer
Yeah PS is only for low speeds like parking.  PS at highway speeds is a no no

I think I got screwed on my panda paint job...

Well, i never said i beat em in the straight line  ;) but all the Non Vtec SIs are easy to beat in a straight line, and the Vtec ones lose out in the twisties..
There is no such thing as a non-vtec Civic SI, and all USDM Celica's came with the 22re truck engine. Now yes our cars look better and overall I like them better, but there is no point in anyone lying out their ass here saying that they "eat Civic SI's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner".

Stock for stock in America our cars are pathetically slow, however in Japan with the 3t-gte our cars were ferocious monsters in their day. The 4t-gte owned the rally circuit and vtec was a phone.

Also, Civic SIs have comprable suspensions and would easily out handle and out accelerate our Celicas on any course. The only thing we have over them is the advantage of RWD which is useless without power.

A little off the civic si topic I thought this was funny. Here I am driving home in my mom's 66 vw beetle and up to the stoplight comes a sentra with body kit, exhaust, etc. starts revvin so for the fun of it I punched it and beat him to 55mph where he did a loser flyby.

Actually I would not be surprised if a GTS with good bushings and struts, could beat an SI around the track, if it has alot of twists. That is with both drivers being equivalent in abilities. The added advantage of an engine with low end torque will help us. I know that my AA used to go thru corners at speeds others feared to go in with.  They were very few who would dare follow me, and I do not consider myself to be a good driver into the turns.

Cashback, i do believe Vtec wasnt around in the 80's? i do believe there are civic SIs from the 80's? therefor, your statement about no SI not having Vtec is invalid...
