Terms, Policies And Rules
« on: Oct 12, 2006, 03:33:53 am »
Well after much study and research, Celica-GTS.com now has an official Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Forum Rules and Classifieds Rules and Guidelines.

These are here to protect you as much as me. I'm hoping that having these documents properly displayed and enforced will make the forums a safer place for all involved.

All of these rules may be changed, modified, altered, amended and so on. So if you think any of these rules are too strict or just dumb and not necessary then please let me know. I will be happy to consider any suggestions you have for improving these documents.

5. "Search" is not a valid reply.
It is not okay to reply to a topic with the phrase "Use the search" or anything like it... Unless you have already searched the answer and post a link to a relevant thread.

Oops.

Your privacy policy does not seem to mention the forum username and password... it should be under Subscriber communication and you should list what you are doing with the username/password and profile.

Yea... I see what you mean, it doesn't get specific enough. The Privacy Policy is being rewritten again. The more I read it over the more I notice missing items. Ill try to clean it up and make it read a little smoother too.

I was trying to keep it as short as possible, but now I understand why these things are always so long.

How about the new Classifieds Rules? Do all these seem reasonable to everyone? I was worried some might be too strict.

I think that some are a bit strict, however, in light of recent circumstances with all of the newbies coming and going without a trace, people getting screwed on parts, and all the spam, I think it's helpful for everyone to be aware of who the bad guys are that show up here, and try to screw people over. Hopefully if people are conscious of what's going on in the forum environment, then it will help prevent, or at least cut down on the people getting their wallets hurt.
