  I'm fixing my 84 GT-S body and repainting it, but what is the best way to remove rust, yes I know cut-it out, but that is not an option right now. I have removed the rutst the best I can how can I now stop it from spending  and rerusting the areas I have fixed?

I do not have a welder so cutting welding in pieces I cannot do, plus some area are in tight area or hard to shape metal pieces(like around the rear lights and gas filler area.
Are these so-called rust converter and good or are they a waste of money.
Does Fiberglass over  rust prevent any more rust by removing Oxygen from the metal surface.

       I'm a poor college student that is trying to make the car last a few(2-3three years)more years and look good, not perfect but good plus I'am staying with black which shows every minor imperfection :(

Anything would help.

I am also restoring the body of my GT.

But I only have surface rust...Im currently grinding it off with a dremel and i do apply rust converter, just remember to lay down some touch-up paint over the rust converter

I think I got screwed on my panda paint job...

Rust converter is legit stuff. Just make sure you are getting the good stuff and not some cheap stuff. I have done some research into the stuff and it looks like it works great.  
1985 Celipra GT-S (driven by Chris):
6M-GE bored .50 over. 210cc injectors from......not a Toyota! Delta 272 re-grind cams. Carter high-flow fuel pump.
Pacesetter header w/custom 2.5" straight exhaust. Open air intake filter w/3" piping to TB. 65mm TB & ported AFM.
4:10 rear w/disk brakes from Supra. BillyM shifter bushing kit. Swapped most interior over to black. T3 camber plates.
935 Budget Coilover kit. KYB AGX struts. Eibach Sport rear supra springs. T3 Needle bearing upper perches.

What i did on my hatch was i ground of all the rust to bare metal then sprayed Anti-Rust stuff on the spot, added a layer of bondo to fill in the grounded down area and to keep weather away from the rust... then i primered it and repainted the hatch to match the rest of my paint. Now you cant even tell it ever had a rust spot.

POR 15 makes some really good products. I however have just been using a dremel and spraying undercoating on the area. It keeps everything away from the surface, even air.

POR15 all the way dude, seriously, i used it on my 68 el camino, it was rusted to shit, and if u view some of my pics that i have posted on http://www.sounddomain.com/id/3rdgenbeast  then u can see how the el camino came, it is in front of the celica, but u can still see it.
